On Dec. 4-6, over the course of 48 hours, a team of business leaders – including Liam McClay, Assistant to the President for Innovation & Governmental Affairs at Santa Fe College; Lee Niblock, Alachua County Manager; Ryan Loftus, Senior Engineering Manager at Exactech; and Andy Hopson, Executive Director of The Agency – and a group of Chamber staff conducted 13 meetings in New York City with site selectors, and organizations representing international business communities, as well as trade media editors and reporters.

This was the third marketing trip of 2016 (with others conducted in Boston and Silicon Valley) and the first marketing delegation trip the Greater Gainesville region has undertaken since the launch of its new global brand. These efforts trips assist the region in reaching our goal of attracting 3,500 new primary jobs and attracting $250 million in new capital investment by 2020.
