Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is the Chamber’s most prestigious event of the year, recapping the accomplishments of the previous year and unveiling its plans for the upcoming year. A fun-filled evening of entertainment and applause, the Chamber’s Annual Meeting is Gainesville’s premiere annual celebration of the business community and official board meeting of the new year.

Business of the Year provides the best of local business the much-deserved recognition in being a leader in a variety of categories. Businesses are judged by an independent group based on a set of criteria, gaining points for each element. Winners are recognized as leaders in their specific industries.

Gainesville Restaurant Week

Gainesville Restaurant Week is a 10+ day celebration of our local restaurants and provides residents the perfect excuse to go out and support local businesses. Restaurants put together special menus at discount prices to reward their frequent patrons, as well as gaining many new customers who may not have attended previously. Restaurants enjoy the increased exposure and traffic during the slower summer months, and get very beneficial attention from both the business community and residents alike.

Business Before Hours (formerly known as Connect ME) offers members the opportunity to network in a small, comfortable environment and discuss your business faceto- face with dozens of other members. Hosting a Business Before Hours is a great, affordable way of generating traffic to your business and utilizing an opportunity to present to various business professionals.

D.C. Fly-In

Join the Chamber and a couple of business leaders in Washington D.C. to advocate on behalf of the issues and concerns of the Gainesville regional business community. The Chamber works collaboratively with our elected officials in the nation’s capital to foster the growth of business in the Gainesville region.

Capitol Days

Join the Chamber and area business leaders at the Florida Chamber of Commerce’s Capitol Days to ensure Gainesville’s voice is heard statewide and local issues are addressed. These meetings allow elected officials to be aware of our community’s concerns and the ability to create an agenda to utilize going forward so we can continue to grow effectively.
