The Chamber is offering a SmalllBizU Workshop on February 26, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber, 300 E University Ave, Suite 100. The course, “Customer Orientated Selling,” is being taught by Cecil Edge of Cecil Edge & Associate. Cecil has shared these techniques with hundreds of salespersons and sales managers all over the southeast and they have applauded this proven practical sales approach. He believes that success in sales is dependent upon the skill of the salesperson in finding and understanding the needs of the customer. Too often sales education or training is oriented towards product knowledge more than people knowledge. It is his opinion that if you want to succeed in today’s highly competitive market place you must become a master at asking the right questions at the right time to the right person. In his “Customer Oriented Selling" program, he helps salesperson understand how to identify sales points and what questions to ask to test their appropriateness. Armed with this feedback, a salesperson can tailor fit his or her presentation to the needs of their customers. Cecil also emphasizes how critical it is to ask the right questions. By doing so, a salesperson can overcome and minimize objections. This program is designed to create good will for your company even if the prospect does not buy at this time. For those prospects who do buy, the program emphasizes how to keep them as returning customers.
