THE BIZ WIZ

What are some of the essentials for an effective Web site and other means for marketing my business on the internet?

1. Easy access to information. Give visitors as many paths to information on your site as possible.

2. Provide your contact information. This includes phone, fax, e-mail, mailing address, etc.

3. Optimize your site with the appropriate Meta tags. Each web page contains hidden information that can be found by search engines. Some important Meta tags to include are the title, description and keywords that most people searching for your product or service are likely to use. Having the right set of Meta tags will make your web site much easier to catalog for search engines.

4. Utilize social marketing sites such as Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn or Twitter and make connections.
