What are the details of the Chamber Lunch and SmallBizU Workshop with John Spence on June 16?

A letter from John Spence to the Gainesville business community outlining the luncheon and workshop...

To all my friends in the Gainesville area business community,

I wanted to let you know that on Tuesday, June 16th, I will be doing a very special program in conjunction with the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce at the Best Western Gateway Grand.

From 11:30 AM to 1 PM there is a Chamber luncheon at which I will be the keynote speaker. I'm very excited because I will be presenting, for the very first time, a talk based on the ideas in my upcoming book "Awesomely Simple - essential strategies for turning ideas into action" which focuses on the six fundamental principles of highly successful organizations. This should be a high-energy speech that delivers lots of valuable ideas. The fee for the luncheon is $22 for Chamber members and $32 for, as the Chamber puts it: "future members."

After the luncheon, I will be leading a very intensive business improvement workshop from 1:30 PM to 5 PM. Based partly on my book, and also from a class I have been teaching for several years called "Achieving Business Excellence," this is the most advanced business best-practices class I teach. During the session I will share dozens of solid ideas about exactly what it takes to run a truly successful business. But more than just a speech, this class is filled with several very insightful audits and workshops that guarantee to deliver a very clear picture of where your business is now and specifically what you will need to do in order to take it to the next level. Frankly, it is sort of like a strategic planning session on steroids.

The fee for the workshop is $75 for members and $150 for "future members" and includes a detailed workbook I've created just for this event and a copy of my leadership book "Excellence by Design -- the six key characteristics of outstanding leaders.” Many of you already have a copy of my book, but this way you have a nice new one you can give away as a present! If you feel like your team could use a little nudge in the right direction, or a major infusion of ideas about how to run your business better, this will be an absolutely fantastic session.
