With his list of things, he wanted to accomplish in life. Joe Cirulli, the owner, and founder of Gainesville Health & Fitness and Past Chair of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce has focused his life on two things: helping people become healthy and building a company culture that inspires people to become their best.
On November 5, 2016, at Buchholz High School, Cirulli the keynote speaker for Career Discoveries Day will share with middle and high school students and their families at the Gainesville Chamber’s Talent Alignment and Education Committee second annual Career Discoveries Day. Career Discoveries Day is an annual 3-hour workshop, designed to expose middle/high school students and their parents to emerging career opportunities in the Greater Gainesville region. Cirulli will discuss how his mission to make Gainesville the healthiest city in America led the Gainesville Heath & Fitness Center to receive the very first and only Gold Well City Award for Workplace Wellness a community-wide effort. And how perseverance and dreams can be achieved.
Cirulli, a pilot, is originally from Elmira, New York started the Gainesville Health & Fitness Centers in Gainesville in 1978. Cirulli is one of the most sort after speakers in the world presenting to national and international audiences.
Gainesville Health and Fitness Center a Health Science company a employs over 400 people and operates three clubs with more than 26,000 members and two rehabilitation centers with North Florida Regional Medical Center.
Career Discoveries Day, features local business professionals in the following industry sectors: arts and design, health sciences, transportation/manufacturing, life sciences, and technology. Each industry sector has a speaker who presents emerging career opportunities in his/her industry to entice students to attend his/her breakout session. Each breakout session then features a panel of peer business owners and professionals who discuss career pathways for each targeted industries (identiﬁed above), share their stories of success and answer questions from the students.
