Tabetha Getz, who joined the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce in December, 2015 as the Director of Industry
Development, has been promoted to Vice President of Membership effective immediately. In her new role, Tabetha will oversee Chamber membership, Leadership Gainesville and major Chamber events. Tabetha brings with her more than eight years experience leading nonprofit organizations. Tabetha spent four years with the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce and served as the Senior Vice President of Membership and Business Development for the 1300 member organization. Prior to that she worked with Troy University, State Farm Insurance and GolinHarris International.
Leading a dynamic team at the Columbus Chamber, Tabetha was focused on promoting Chamber member businesses and building relationships with community leaders to benefit the business community. She oversaw the annual fundraising campaign raising $850,000 and managed an annual membership investment of $1.1 million and new member sales of $100,000. She has experience in building member benefits and creating added value with Chamber special events and signature programs management.
In addition to her professional experience, Tabetha previously served on the board of the Greater Columbus Young Professionals, a 750-member organization focused on attracting and retaining young talent to the
Tabetha is currently completing her Masters of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management in October 2016 from Troy University and is a graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Communication.
