Trimark Properties Receives City of Gainesville Beautification Award for Luxury Apartments

John-Fleming-Trimark-PropertiesTrimark Properties won the City of Gainesville Beautification Award last week for two of their premier apartments.  Additionally, every year an Outstanding Individual Award is presented to a member of the Gainesville community whose presence and work make the city more beautiful. This year, John Fleming, managing partner of Trimark Properties was given this honor, along with Theresa Beachy of Peaceful Pathways.

The Beautification Board Awards booklet details one reason Fleming was awarded this title by saying,“ John and Trimark Properties have been instrumental over the years in revitalizing a much-ignored area of downtown Gainesville. ”

Tuscana and Solaria II, the two apartments near UF Sorority Row awarded in the prestigious ceremony, were built in 2015. Tuscana luxury apartments boast an old-world, Mediterranean architecture on the exterior.  With hand-laid stone and ornate but rustic ironwork framed balconies, the curb appeal is evident.  The interior granite countertops, gourmet kitchens, and wine coolers carry the theme through the complex.

SolariaII-luxury-apartments-webSolaria II luxury apartments include 15 units with an architectural design reminiscent of the California Mission Style.  With stucco, natural wooden beams, Mexican clay tiles and an open courtyard, the Spanish influences come through beautifully.  Local architects and engineers collaborated to create these custom Gainesville apartments, and the city recognizes the effort.

The committee presenting the Gainesville Beautification Awards references the judging criteria on their website by stating, “The annual City Beautification Awards recognize excellence in a variety of design categories. The awards highlight projects of outstanding aesthetic and artistic appeal. Projects are evaluated for originality, innovation, and creativity, as well as for their sustainability, maintenance and use of serviceable materials.”

Tuscana-Gainesville-Luxury-Apartments (1)John Fleming, managing partner at Trimark, comments, “We are honored by this recognition of our efforts to create the highest-quality apartment complexes with the most innovative designs. However, we are even more grateful to contribute to the redevelopment of the City of Gainesville as a whole and to help make it a more beautiful place for future generations to live and work.”

The Gainesville Beautification Award is a great asset to the city as it incentivizes redevelopment and enhancement of the community by private businesses. Trimark won 3 of the 26 total awards presented at the annual event. Awards were presented in categories such as commercial & retail businesses, Gainesville apartments, institutional facilities, façade improvements, public spaces, and uniquely Gainesville.
