Chamber Open House Draws more than 200May 29th, 2016 by gainesvillechamber
The Chamber recently opened its doors to educate members on how to better engage and maximize their benefits, and to share how the Chamber’s activities on behalf of members benefit the whole community.
The opening session was led by Council for Economic Outreach Chair Rory Caussaeux, who underscored the event aimed to celebrate economic diversity and recognize Chamber members–who number nearly 1,300 and employ more than 80,000–for the economic activity they generate.
The Open House included three sessions focusing on Business Development and Member Services, Public Policy and Making the Connection, and Creating Jobs and Economic Prosperity in Greater Gainesville.
“You get out of your Chamber membership what you put into it,” said Chamber Member Jarad Bowens, who owns Genius Entertainment and spoke on Tuesday’s Member Services panel. “It is so important to take advantage of Chamber networking and education opportunities. I have been hired by many clients I met by being active in the Chamber.”
If you didn’t get to attend Tuesday’s event, but want to learn more about how to better leverage and benefit from your membership, contact the Chamber at 352.334.7100.
