James Moore Welcomes Six New Hires

James Moore, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants (James Moore) is pleased to welcome Heather Clarich, Tracy Curry, Tamara Howard, Joshua Kimmell, Angela Taff, and Caleb Thompson to the firm.

Clarich will serve as a Senior Consultant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining the firm, Clarich worked as a Bank Applications Officer for a regional bank in Gainesville, Florida for seven years. As a Bank Applications Officer, Clarich managed all bank-related software programs as well as managed and evaluated support technicians while assisting both the Chief Information Officer and System Administrator in managerial tasks. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Florida. As a Senior Consultant, Clarich will be responsible for advanced bookkeeping and accounting services for the firm’s business and nonprofit clients.

Curry, certified public accountant, will serve as a Senior Accountant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining the firm, Curry worked as the Accounting Controller for a national retailer and nonprofit organization providing job training and employment placement services in Tallahassee, Florida. As Accounting Controller, Curry was responsible for the following activities: overseeing intercompany transactions and reconciliations; preparing bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts; filing sales tax reports for retail locations; supervising the work of accounts payable, payroll and accounts receivable; as well as preparing cash projections. She received a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University. As a Senior Accountant, Curry will be responsible for advanced bookkeeping and accounting services for the firm’s business and nonprofit clients.

Kimmell, certified public accountant, will serve as the firm’s Controller. Prior to joining the firm, Kimmell worked for the largest, privately-held, family-owned insurance company in the nation as the Chief Financial Officer for twelve years. As the Chief Financial Officer, Kimmell managed the company’s accounting and finance department; prepared financial statements and filings; worked with the
company’s management team to organize the company’s strategy; and prepared management reports for various parties including parent company managements, actuaries, external auditors, rating organizations and state regulators. Kimmell received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of North Florida. As the Controller, Kimmell will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the internal accounting department and payroll processes; managing the firm’s 401(k) plan as well as the production of the annual budget and forecasts; ensuring that periodic bank reconciliations are completed and financial statements issued; and providing financial analyses.

Howard has been hired as a Data Entry Assistant for the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining the firm, Howard worked as an Accounting Assistant for a national retailer and nonprofit organization providing job training and employment placement services in Tallahassee, Florida. She was responsible for reconciling accounts receivables, generating financial reports, researching unallocated cash, and maintaining departmental files. Howard received a Master of Science in Higher Education from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Florida Atlantic University. As a Data Entry Assistant, Howard will be responsible for updating and maintaining database information for client payables and financial reports.

Taff will serve as an Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining the firm, Taff worked at a real estate agency in Tallahassee, Florida as a Realtor. She was responsible for showing properties, preparing listing agreements and contracts for sale and purchase, directing buyers through the purchase process from financing to closing, preparing competitive market analyses, and completing marketing activities. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Merchandising from Florida State University. As an Administrative Assistant, Taff will support the needs of the firm by coordinating with departments to schedule and plan meetings, preparing and sending business correspondences, as well as managing files.

Thompson will serve as a Staff Consultant in the Accounting and Controllership Services department. Prior to joining the firm, Thompson worked as a Staff Accountant for a national retailer and nonprofit organization providing job training and employment placement services in Tallahassee, Florida. As a Staff Accountant, Thompson was responsible for the daily maintenance of cash operating balances; sales use and tax preparation and payment; bank reconciliation and month-end accounts payable reconciliation; as well as accounting activities for governmental grants for both cash-basis and accrual basis programs. Thompson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Flagler College-Tallahassee. As a Staff Consultant, Thompson will provide a range of services; including processing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll transactions, performing bookkeeping and accounting services for non-profit clients, and preparing financial statements for clients.
