Tomorrow: Members, Show Your Support for Envision Alachua!November 13th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
The Chamber is calling on its members to help Greater Gainesville take a step toward shared prosperity tomorrow night at 5 p.m. at the Commerce Building. The purpose of the event will be to show business community solidarity behind the Envision Alachua Sector Plan and help our community:
- Attract additional employers to address underemployment and support preeminence for the University of Florida
- Create jobs in areas where they are desperately needed, and which have been left behind for decades
- Achieve conservation of an additional 23,000 acres at no taxpayer expense
Members, if you want these things, please join us at the Commerce Building on Wednesday at 5 p.m. and walk over with us immediately after to the Alachua County Planning Commission hearing for the Envision Alachua Sector Plan (EASP) application. The Planning Commission meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville to hear public comment as it considers its recommendation to the County Commission concerning the Sector Plan and the unique opportunity it represents.
