congresswoman-corrinebrownOn October 25 -27, Dr. David Norton, Vice President for Research at the University of Florida led a marketing delegation trip to Washington, D.C. area. Over the course of 48 hours, the team of 10 regional delegates – University of Florida, elected and city officials and business leaders – undertook 19 key meetings throughout the region. This was the third marketing trip of 2015 totaling 56 meetings in Boston, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. The Transforming Greater Gainesville marketing efforts are off to a great start and will wrap up with a final marketing trip to New York City in December. These efforts will assist the region in reaching our goal of attracting 3,500 new primary jobs and attracting $250 million in new capital investment by 2020.
