Love the Hipp’s Halloween show, ALL GIRL FRANKENSTEIN? Come hear how it all came to be with Chicago playwright, Bob Fisher, on Tuesday, October 27!
The Hippodrome’s Halloween show this season has created quite a stir and it’s only just begun! ALL GIRL FRANKENSTEIN is a Southeastern Premier, first being performed in Chicago of October 2013 by the all women acting troupe, the Chicago Mammals. The founding member and Artistic Director of the troupe is Bob Fisher. Fisher has been making theatre in Chicago for 16 years and started the Chicago Mammals to create extremely unique opportunities for actresses to play roles that are rarely if ever performed by women.
Fisher is excited to see the Hippodrome’s production of his play, ALL GIRL FRANKENSTEIN on Tuesday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. Following the performance, Fisher will hold a question and answer session for the audience. The Hipp is encouraging their loyal Gainesville patrons and fans to come support them that evening!
This tale brings a dark and seductive twist to Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and will immerse the audience in a world of decay. When Victor Frankenstein’s demanding mother passes from the mortal coil, he is driven by his regrets to discover the means of reanimating the dead. When the creature he resurrects attempts by itself to manifest life, resurrection and procreation co-mingle igniting disastrous abominations! Hippodrome’s all female cast put’s a different perspective on this story and it will bring a fantastic new way to explore this Halloween favorite!
