Job Corps Career Fair will take place Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon
Employers, are you looking for new hires in carpentry, office administration, culinary arts, homeland security and more? Then look no further. Job Corps graduates are talented, trained, experienced and ready to work.
Gainesville’s Job Corps is hosting a career fair on Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at its center located at 5301 NE 40th Ter. Participating employers will gain access to a vetted and interview-ready candidate pool – pre-screened with substance and level two background checks and certified in designated industries – all at no cost.
Members from the North Central Florida Society for Human Resource Management (NCF-SHRM) will host mock interviews with Job Corps graduates and soon-to-be graduates on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This job fair is brought to you in partnership by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, CareerSource North Central Florida and Job Corps. Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training.
