Florida Chamber Voter Registration Drive UnderwaySeptember 20th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
One key step to ensuring the business community’s voice is heard in the upcoming 2016 Florida election cycle is encouraging your employees to engage, and helping to facilitate their participation, by promoting voter registration. No matter how well we educate and motivate our employees to vote, it’s important to remember that our work won’t count unless they are registered. There are millions of eligible unregistered voters and many are your employees. As a result, this is an area in which we can have a major impact.
Join the Florida Chamber this week, for Employee Voter Registration Week. We’ll be sharing materials you can use, like flyers, videos, logos, sample email and social media text messages, to encourage your employees to register. Our belief is that, when our employees vote, the business community’s voice is heard.
Florida Chamber members get exclusive access to our non-partisan Florida Wins voter registration toolkit, which includes resources and outreach content to distribute to your employees in conjunction with the voter registration initiative. Getting involved in this effort is as easy as notifying your employees about the voter registration initiative and encouraging them to register to vote at www.FloridaWins.org.
