Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Interim President/CEO Susan Davenport recently participated in a marketing delegation trip—led by Enterprise Florida—to provide the state and several of its cities and regions with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their competitive advantages in key target markets.
“I am so excited that Gainesville has the ability to be represented in markets such as New York City, which are rich in the types of companies we want to nurture and grow in our region,” said Davenport. “Our partnership with Enterprise Florida helps us draw the attention of companies and organizations that hold the potential of growing and creating jobs in both Gainesville and Florida.”
Enterprise Florida is Florida’s principal economic development organization. Enterprise Florida facilitates job growth for Florida businesses through recruitment and retention, international trade and exporting, promotion of sporting events, and capital funding programs to assist small and minority businesses. As an investor in Enterprise Florida’s state marketing efforts, Gainesville gains access to an extensive schedule of marketing opportunities and exhibitions across the U.S.
