Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A. adds new associate attorneyJuly 26th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
The Law Office of Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of a fifth attorney, David J. Hallstrom, to its Gainesville office. The University of Florida Law School graduate gives the firm the opportunity to expand its locally-offered services into the areas of appeals and employment law, with a particular interest in adoptions.
“I’m very excited to join Bogin, Munns & Munns and to serve the Gainesville community,” Hallstrom said. “I enjoy the diversity of the area, from downtown Gainesville to the outlying communities. I plan to continue the tradition at Bogin, Munns & Munns of providing competent broad-based legal representation to our clients.”
Hallstrom was born and raised in Southern California. As a young man, he earned the Eagle Scout award – the highest award in scouting – and then spent two years volunteering in Brazil on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“While in Brazil, I came to believe that everybody shares a longing for community, a love of family, and a desire for personal success,” he said. “When I returned to the United States, I decided that practicing law would provide a means through which I could be a positive force in my community.” Hallstrom is married and has one daughter. He has a B.A. degree from Brigham Young University in philosophy. He moved to Gainesville to attend law school at the University of Florida where he earned the highest grade in his class in Professional Responsibility, was on the Dean’s list several times and gained a broad array of experience while working for a real estate firm, a criminal defense firm, the Guardian ad Litem Program, and the First District Court of Appeal.
After being admitted to the Florida Bar, Hallstrom continued to expand the scope of his experience, working on cases involving employment law, personal injury, sovereign immunity, real estate, and juvenile law. In 2015, David opened his own law firm where he focused his practice on adoptions.
“Adding a young attorney to the firm always brings a fresh perspective,” said Adam S. Towers, managing partner for the Gainesville office. “His areas of emphasis expands our legal offerings locally and we’re looking forward to a long association.”
