“A Streetcar Named Desire” to Hit the Silver Screen at the Hippodrome

The Hippodrome Cinema will host their second Cocktails & Classics film for 2015 on May 9

Travel to the French Quarter of New Orleans and experience the Hollywood heartthrob Marlon Brando and Southern belle Vivian Leigh on the silver screen as the Hippodrome Cinema presents Cocktails & Classics: A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE! On Saturday, May 9, enjoy an evening of light hors d’oeuvres and themed cocktails for a one-night showing of Elia Kazan’s film adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize winning play. The themed cocktail reception will take place at 7PM in the Hippodrome Art Gallery with the film beginning at 8PM in the Cinema. Audience members are encouraged to come dressed in their best Southern flair or come as the Hollywood hunk Marlon Brando himself.

Seating for “A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE” is limited and tickets are $20. Advanced reservations are recommended. To reserve a seat, please contact the Box Office at 352.375.4477.
