Titletown Gator Club Paints It Blue at the Boys and Girls Club for International Gator DayApril 25th, 2015 by gainesvillechamber
The Titletown Gator Club will “Paint it Blue” for International Gator Day on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Club members and Gator fans are asked to wear their orange and join the Titletown Gator Club as we paint the doors and their trim blue at the Alachua County Boys & Girls Club.
Our local Boys & Girls Club is “opening doors” for area youth. Their mission is to inspire and empower the youth of Alachua County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive and successful citizens.
On May 16th, Gator Clubs® from around the world will unite to utilize the size and spirit of the Gator Nation to positively impact local communities. Each Club will take on a project that is important to their community and will volunteer the time and talents of its members to serve others. This year, Titletown will help get kids motivated and excited with a new campaign while sprucing up the facility at the same time.
“With more than 3,600 local alumni members in the area, we will be able to attract a good number of hands to hold paint brushes,” says Titletown Gator Club President Laura Aguiar. “This way we can help out a great local non-profit and have fun at the same time.”
Volunteers will meet at the Boys & Girls Club at 8:30 am on Saturday morning. They are located at 2700 NW 51st Street in Gainesville. There is no cost to participate, just volunteer to Paint it Blue and have fun.
Titletown Gator Club is comprised of all University of Florida Alumni Association (UFAA) members in the Gainesville area. The Titletown Gator club conducts a wide variety of activities that include philanthropic opportunities, viewing parties, young alumni events, networking, and the annual Gator Gathering with Coach Jim McElwain.
