Opportunity is Knocking: Get Up to Speed on Envision Alachua Over Lunch

In alignment with a mission centered on creating economic prosperity, business growth and community progress, the Gainesville Area Chamber has made Envision Alachua a key priority in 2015. We hope you will join us for the first in a series of first Friday luncheons aiming to share the facts around Envision Alachua and communicate the unprecedented opportunity the plan offers the businesses and people of Alachua County.

This luncheon will cover regional initiatives, including missed opportunities, current projects, and what the future holds.  Attendees will hear how we can transform greater Gainesville together, with presentations from Greg Galpin, Senior Manager, Planning at Plum Creek and Adrian Taylor, Vice President, Chamber Development and Operations of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Seating is limited, registration is required.

Did you know Envision Alachua would:

  • Increase opportunity for Alachua County residents at all education and skill levels by bringing a projected 30,000 jobs to our region over the next 50 years.
  • Permanently conserve 52,000 acres of land—87% of the total acreage owned by Plum Creek in East Alachua County.
