MindTree Ltd. Hiring Projections Are Ahead of Schedule

With the original plan to hire 100 employees by June 2013, MindTree Limited now expects to hire 100 employees by the end of the first quarter of 2013. Ahead of its hiring projections for the Gainesville office, MindTree is up to 35 employees and expects to hire 400 employees over the next four years with an average salary of $80,000. On Monday, the software development company moved into their Gainesville office on the third floor of the Ayers building and has a year lease on space in the University of Florida’s Innovation Hub. Although the company is based out of India, MindTree wanted to open a center in Gainesville after seeing a recent trend with international companies moving offshore software jobs to the U.S. While the company has started bringing in company transfers and relocating people from other companies, the ultimate goal is to hire recent graduates with two years of less of experience.

“I think the vast majority of our hires will come from the University of Florida and other Florida institutions,” said Scott Staples, President of the American branch of MindTree Limited.
