Health Care will be the Highlight of Pancakes & Public Policy

The Affordable Care Act, a piece of legislation that puts in place strong consumer protection and provides alternative health care coverage options, will be the highlight of this month’s Pancakes & Public Policy. October’s event will feature Moore Hallmark, Executive Director for the Southeastern Region of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who will be speaking alongside other panelists about how the Affordable Care Act could have the potential to affect Chamber’s member businesses. The event will take place on Friday, Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church’s Multipurpose Room, located at 120 SE Williston Road. Read more

AxoGen Receives $21 Million to Expand Sales and Develop a New Product

PDL BioPharma recently provided $21 million to AxoGen, an Alachua-based company, to expand sales and develop their products.
